Description
Marsh Mallow – Althaea officinalis
A tall and pretty native wildflower with multipl uses, not out of place in any perennial bed or wildflower patch.

Pale pink/white large flowers are enjoyed by bees and pollinators, in bloom late summer.
- Flowers can be used in salads and drinks.

Leaves used raw or cooked rich in vitamin A, B, C
- Many soothing and healing medicinal uses of plant including teas and topically.
- Roots are traditionally uses in the making of the marshmallow sweet treat.
Marsh Mallow grows up to 150cm and is a perennial, enjoys full sun and moisture but tolerates shade damp ground.
